History
TECNICAER Engineering s.r.l. was founded in Aosta in 2004 by two professionals, Fabio Inzani, an hospital design engineer, and Stefano Bonfante, an electrical engineer, aiming to transfer their deep knowledge and expertise into an entrepreneurial venture.
Soon, the company grew and opened its first branch in Turin. Inzani and Bonfante embarked on a new management approach by introducing a quality system as a starting point, creating a highly qualified team of professionals, and strengthening internal resources and know-how in the field of healthcare, educational, correctional facility design, and large public projects.
In recent years, the need to be closer to the clients and to the operational areas has led to the opening of Milan and Florence offices. Each branch has its own identity and provides specialized services.
OUR APPROACH
Simplifying complexity
Healthcare design has been our founding area of expertise.
Our experience across traditional and paediatric hospital facilities has enabled us to develop a method capable of addressing highly complex functional, organisational and technological systems — contexts in which every decision has a direct impact on service efficiency and people’s experience.
This approach has naturally broadened our scope to include major public works and complex infrastructure projects, including technology-intensive environments such as data centres, where reliability, control and a systemic vision are essential.
OUR APPROACH
Method
Our multidisciplinary structure is designed to manage complex design processes, where architecture, engineering and organisation need to come together within an integrated, coherent and verifiable vision.
We act as a single point of contact in contexts where project quality depends on coordination, process control and the ability to bring different areas of expertise together.
Our BIM methodologies allow us to design through integrated information models, managing performance, costs and the full lifecycle of the project from the very beginning.
OUR APPROACH
People at the centre
Putting people at the centre is not a slogan, but the natural outcome of the way we design.
Within each project, Tecnicaer acts as design lead, strategic partner to the client and coordinator of complex systems, supporting the decision-making process throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.
We design systems conceived to evolve over time, able to adapt to future needs while maintaining high functional, environmental and economic performance. In this way, architecture and engineering become tools for building lasting value in the service of institutions, communities and the people who experience the spaces we design.

Work with us
Every project starts with a shared vision.
A dynamic organisation in constant evolution, Tecnicaer Engineering offers the opportunity to work on major integrated building projects in Italy and internationally.
The Group
Within the Group, Tecnicaer is part of the Mythos consortium, a multidisciplinary organisation that brings together architectural and engineering expertise within a coordinated operating model, focused on advanced design development and a BIM-based approach. In the field of research and innovation, Tecnicaer takes part in the Joint Research Partnership (JRP) – Healthcare Infrastructures, promoted by Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, as a Platinum Partner, contributing to programmes dedicated to the evolution of healthcare infrastructure and complex organisational models.
In the healthcare sector, Tecnicaer designs facilities in line with Joint Commission International (JCI) standards, integrating quality, safety and clinical organisation requirements into the design process through pre-assessment activities developed in partnership with Progea Servizi.
Certifications
Quality, safety and sustainability as design standards
Tecnicaer’s certifications reflect a concrete commitment to process quality, environmental protection and occupational safety. They are not merely formal achievements, but operational tools that ensure reliability, control and compliance at every stage of the project.
Quality, environmental protection and occupational safety
All our services comply with the UNI/PdR 74, UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 – UNI EN ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Quality Management System.
We have achieved the highest Legality Rating, are members of the Green Building Council and promote best practices in environmental sustainability in line with LEED, ITACA, WELL and BREEAM protocols.
We also operate in Project Financing and Global Services, including Facilities Management, also within the field of TPF — Third-Party Financing.
Training defines performance
To ensure design that is not only efficient and reliable, but also consistently forward-looking, our people are a strategic asset to be developed and qualified through continuous training, which is essential to business needs and fundamental to the personal motivation of every team member.
Equal opportunities for all
Tecnicaer actively promotes gender equality, working to ensure that everyone has the same rights, the same opportunities and fair access to resources.
Every day, we work to overcome discrimination and gender stereotypes, creating an inclusive environment in which everyone can fully express their potential, in line with the principles of the PAS 24000 social management system and the UNI/PdR 125 certification on gender equality.
