The project focused on the functional redevelopment of the “Porcù Del Nunzio” Barracks in Turin, located on Corso Giambone, intended to house the headquarters of the Traffic Police and the “Mirafiori” Police Station. The intervention involved the existing buildings, the garage, external areas, and the creation of a new technical zone. The centerpiece of the project was Building A, subject to architectural heritage protection, which was reorganized across three floors to include office spaces, operational functions, public reception areas, and technical rooms. The works included conservative restoration, system upgrades, roof and attic refurbishment, and the installation of an elevator, stairlift, and inspection cavities to improve comfort and maintainability.

A new technical area was built to replace the outdated garage units, designed to accommodate parking spaces, a generator, heat pumps, and a waste-management station. The garage itself was upgraded to meet fire-safety standards. Outdoor areas were renewed with permeable paving, bicycle stands, new tree plantings, and a revitalized internal courtyard.

The intervention restored an abandoned public asset, optimizing its use, and improving accessibility, safety, and operational efficiency. The project was developed in compliance with CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria) and managed entirely through BIM, ensuring sustainability, control, and seamless coordination throughout the design process.
